Piper Apache Seaplane: N34DA

This very unique, fun to fly, and one of a kind; Piper Apache on Wipline 3730 Amphibious Floats is used to train Sierra Seaplanes’ students for their multiengine seaplane ratings. It is the only Piper Apache–anywhere in the world–on floats!

The aircraft was completely overhauled in 2006; including engines, propellers, windows, gear mechanism, and was returned to the original red and white Piper paint scheme. This Apache was featured in the 2008 January/February edition of Water Flying Magazine.

The Piper Apache makes a terrific multiengine seaplane trainer. We will fly to a remote mountain lake in the morning, practice water work, and then fly Stockton’s ILS right before lunch. We offer Private through ATP multiengine sea ratings and find this aircraft works well for all our students. The Piper Apache has always been an excellent multiengine trainer–add the floats and it makes it even better. Come join the fun!
